The Program for the Study of LGBT Health hosts a series to provide a forum for discussion of LGBTQ+-related research and clinical issues on various topics relevant to the health, mental health, and well-being of LGBTQ+ individuals, families, and communities.
The LGBTQ+ Health Series, held about twice monthly, includes both clinical and research topics. On clinical subjects, health professionals present vignettes from their active practice with LGBTQ+ patients, discuss the challenges they encounter, and the implications for future care and research. (The identities of specific clients remain strictly confidential And some identifying details are omitted or changed as part of the presentation.) On research topics, investigators present their research projects in LGBTQ+ health, discuss the methodological challenges encountered, and review study findings.
